Manned and Unmanned space flight is running full speed with commercial space flight in full swing at Cape Canaveral. Many changes have occurred throughout the space and communication community since the beginning of the twenty-first century. The SunComm Charter
The SunComm Charter is to provide a forum to focus on the market horizon for Ground and Operations Support Systems, Satellite Systems and Payload, as wells a Space Transportation and Technologies Support Systems providing a venue for government and industry to network, and collectively strive to meet the SpaceFlorida.gov Vision 2020 as described in detail at spaceflorida.gov on the web. Hosted by the Canaveral Chapter of the Armed Forces Communications and Electronics Association (AFCEA), a chapter with 50 years of experience providing a forum on the space coast for communication and electronics professionals of the Eastern Range.
SunComm 2012 we will have two focus panels, guest speakers providing enlightening presentations, and a closing keynote. The event begins Wednesday Oct 3rd 2012 at the Cocoa Beach Hilton Convention Center with a reception and opening of the exhibits from 5 – 7 pm. Thursday Oct 4th, beginning at 7:30 am, there is a focus track on “Status of Commercial Use of Florida's Spaceport” and the afternoon track addresses “Communications, Networks, and Computers." Breakfast and lunch will be provided to all attendees and speakers at no additional charge. Friday Oct 5th we will host a surprise speaker for the early morning session with keynote closing remarks mid-morning. We will close the event with a Golf Tournament.
