Canaveral Chapter of AFCEA held the annual officer installation banquet Nov. 4th Cocoa Beach Hilton. Was a great time for all with Kool Vibes kicking out the Caribbean tunes for all to enjoy.

BGen Anthony Cotton, Commander of the 45th Space Wing, shared some moments from his life as an officer at Patrick AFB that were "career shaping" and he "will never forget." BGen Cotton encouraged the new board to consider these types of moments in life as opportunities that will shape the future of their careers and that of the Chapter. Ed Boyd of NetApp Inc and SunComm 2011 Committee Chairman presents BGen Cotton with the Chapter Challenge-Coin for being the motivational speaker for the incoming board.

The annual "Andy Anderson Outstanding Service to Canaveral AFCEA Reward (OSCAR)"was awarded to Debbie Roberson of Spatial Technologies for her outstanding contribution over the last five years. Debbie has served as Treasurer, Secretary, and devoted countless hours to various fund raising events such as the Golf Tournament and Monthly Luncheons.
BGen Anthony Cotton and Gen. Lance Lord (Ret USAF) of L2 Aerospace congratulate Andy Anderson for celebrating his 90th birthday and 51 years of service to the Canaveral Chapter of AFCEA.
J. Tinker and Stephanie Murphy were recognized for their tremendous support of the Chapter and its fund raising efforts. The Murphy's contributions helped to seed the SunComm 2011 Symposium from Nov. 2nd through the 4th.

"SunComm 2011 Symposium and Exhibits"
Canaveral Chapter of AFCEA held the inaugural SunComm at the Cocoa Beach Hilton Oceanfront Nov. 2nd through the 4th. The conference consisted of three panels focused on the Space Port, Cyber Security, and Cloud Computing. Speakers industry, Government, and Academia presented and then participated and discussions.
